"From nothing to something"
After more than seven months working for Giving It Back To Kids, I have experienced many new and exciting things in an environment where everyone is active. There are also many different levels of emotions that I have experienced. I still vividly remember the moment when I was informed, "I was accepted to work at the Organization". I was really, really happy at that time and told myself that I have to try my best and give my best to somehow contribute to this organization.
As time went by, I experienced many new things. I learned valuable experiences from the employees of the Organization, met with many partners to work and learn great things from them, and developing myself. I traveled around to meet the poor, disabled people and to give them a meaningful gift - a wheelchair. I still remember the first trip when I was assigned the tasks to prepare everything for a wheelchair so that the trip could run smoothly. It was making me feel very nervous. But with the encouragement from the leader and everyone in the Organization, I felt motivated and tried my best to prepare well.
When I went to each recipient's house, I was able to interact and talk with them. Through this, I can understand their family situation and their lives more and that made me feel so touched. The moment our sponsors visit each difficult family and give them a wheelchair is the one I love the most - "when helping someone who spent their whole life crawling on the ground, and the first time you can see they can get onto the wheelchair, the gorgeous smile blooms on their face-that was the most amazing experience ever".
In addition, I am fortunate to take on an additional role of imparting knowledge related to Sexual Education for students in Schools and Universities. I am constantly happy to convey the knowledge learned in the lecture hall and personal experience to help the young community have some awareness of this important topic. Actually, I do not know what else to say but strive my best and cultivate a lot of useful knowledge to be able to share with everyone.
In this place, I read great and meaningful books about self-development and leadership, gaining a lot of useful knowledge to improve myself. From a student with nothing but a little knowledge in the learning environment, now I have developed and improved myself a lot in this wonderful GIBTK environment.
I have nothing to say other than thanks to GIBTK for giving me this valuable opportunity to learn new things and being able to interact and make friends with many people. I wish that I could participate in the Organization for a long time, to contribute lots of meaningful work helping the Organization grow stronger.
