16 Years Free from Heart Disease.
Today's story is about Tran Thi Quyen who could gain access to GIBTK's heart program 16 years ago. Her life has been completely transformed. 
 
Quyen is one of many children that Giving It Back To Kids and its donors have been saving on our journey of hope over the past 20 years. In the blink of an eye, 16 years have passed since her survival heart surgery, and she has grown up into a healthy woman.
 
Quyen married in 2020 and is now a mother of a one-year-old daughter. Quyen used to be an accountant, but she is staying at home taking care of her dear daughter. She plans to come back to work in the time to come. Her husband is an acupuncturist who is the main support in the family. Quyen feels loved and cared for by everyone around her and without medicine intake together with any other symptoms of heart disease, she feels very thankful for the chance to live and enjoy this meaningful life. 
 
To date, GIBTK has funded 1,747 life-saving heart surgeries.
