Got help, now help others!

Got help, now help others!

Today's journal is about Nguyen Thi Man one of our past heart surgery recipients 12 years ago.

Contacting Man for a follow-up, we are thrilled to learn about wonderful changes coming to her life. Not only did the heart surgery funded by Giving It Back To Kids and its donors in March 2011 saved her life but it also opened up a new future for her. Man recovered quickly after her surgery and barely has had to take medication since then.

Man earned her bachelor's degree from Nguyen Tat Thanh University in Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in Pharmacy and got a job there after graduation. Then, she moved back to her hometown and worked for a drug store close to her home. It is so very encouraging that her dreams have come true, and she was able to finally open her own pharmacy!

Even more exciting news to share is that in October 2022, Man got married to her husband, who works for a granite company. Man sent her special thanks to GIBTK and those who support it for saving her life and helping her live a life to the fullest. She said: “Thanks to the timely help of others, I can now help others too!” Man loves her job so much!

To date, GIBTK has funded 1,747 life-saving heart surgeries.

"We highly appreciate you and thank you for transforming lives"
