Hello, my name is Ho Thi Mo, and I currently live in a mountainous area in central Vietnam, where nearly half of the population belongs to ethnic minority groups. The economic conditions and infrastructure here remain underdeveloped. As farmers, most of our work involves cultivating crops, working on plantations, or taking on temporary labor jobs, such as harvesting acacia trees, to earn money for rice and cover daily family expenses.
Mo, a poor ethnic girl with limited opportunities to access knowledge.
Life is even more challenging for women like us who are pregnant or raising children. Despite being pregnant, we still have to work hard to make a living. Due to financial difficulties, we cannot provide adequate nutrition for our children, which is one of the significant disadvantages faced by children in my community.
Mo was fortunate to discover GIBTK and attend its prenatal knowledge sessions
When I learned about the Dorothea’s Project Legacy for Pregnant Women organized by Giving It Back to Kids in our commune, my peers and I were overjoyed. Through this program, we had the opportunity to attend classes that provided valuable knowledge about prenatal and infant care. We also received guidance on maintaining good mental health, which has been incredibly beneficial.
Other mothers were also supported with full funding throughout their pregnancy
Here is my baby, who is just over one month old. This little one is the result of my participation in the program, where I received health care support, prenatal screenings for congenital disabilities, vitamins, and consistent care and attention from health workers. My baby is healthy, adorable, and well-behaved.

Through this message, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Giving It Back to Kids and the sponsors for their care and support for pregnant women like us who face difficult circumstances.
GIBTK is very pleased to help children in difficult circumstances as part of its mission. Become an important part of our work by contacting us at robert@givingitbacktokids.org or visiting our website: gibtk.org.
