It's really fantastic to be here - at GIBTK team!
I still find this kind of feeling since I have been working for GIBTK. Five months is not a long time but there are many unforgettable memories in my mind and my heart since I have been being here. Working at GIBTK creates for me opportunities to make a difference, valuable connections and learn precious lessons.
It is said that to get something you never had, you have to do something you've never done. It is obviously right I am now in charge of Mary's Home, a home of love, care and happiness for unfortunate kids. I know how to love and take care of others, how to help kids transform lives as well as how to make my life more wonderful. I have tried doing many things I've never done before. It helps me to gain more experience, wisdom. And I realize that helping unfortunate kids is what I am looking for. I have lived for everybody else and not for myself.
To work professionally, I have to push myself to learn new skills, to get new connections, and to overcome new obstacles. However, nothing is better than feeling like I love what I do. It's eye-opening to realize that doing even small things can have a big impact on others.
Moreover, GIBTK's working style as well as people here make a strong impression on me. I remember that in my first time at work were full of excitement and nervousness. Everything was so new to me. I worried that I couldn't get the job done. Because of the enthusiasm and helping of others, fears and worries disappeared quickly and I am adapting to new working environment. GIBTK creates a healthy environment at work to support people in being at their best in living, learning and working.
I also have chance to learn a lot of precious lessons at work that I have never known before. I like GIBTK's culture the most that everyone is willing to help others to complete their tasks without any complaint even they don't take responsibility on those. Especially, a big difference between GIBTK and others is leaders always sacrifice their time to listen and give advices if the junior need help.
As well as the lessons about leadership skills, emotional health have helped me a lot in my work and my personal life. I know how to deal with anger and how to keep my emotions healthy. Leadership lessons also serves me well in my job.
Moreover, creating healthy relationships and collaborative partnerships requires attention and positive intention, careful listening, speaking up in appropriate ways, healthy and creative resolution of conflicts, reinforcement for respectful behavior, and mutual support for learning and growth are some useful things I am learning from GIBTK's team members.
To be honest, I don't know how to express how lucky and fantastic I am to be here where all team members are on a bus to transform kid's lives through education, medical care, nutrition and love.
