Servent heart and my Destiny

Servent heart and my Destiny
Clearly a Work of God. Though I wish I could take credit. Just as the time Jesus rode the donkey into the city and there were crowds welcoming Him and the donkey sure would have been a fool to think all the celebration and Praise was about the donkey. So it is, I be a donkey (also another word commonly used for donkey J )who was willing to step out of my comfort zone and "try" something "crazy"

 Today please read the journal of an amazing young lady. First to GIBTK as an intern. Then left because she did not see a post on the internet we were hiring. After working with another organization came back to gibtk has made incredible impact to the team and all the kids she leads!

Please meet Lanh;

Servant heart and my destiny!

  Today, beautiful memories of working just came up in my mind and urged me to write something with great honor and appreciation. I am pretty sure that working here at GIBTK is God's plan for me.

  It always makes me feel emotional to recall my memories of being saved two times by God. To me those are the miracles. Yes, I am lucky to be chosen and to be cared for in His hand. GIBTK is a destiny for me also. It is not a coincidence for me to be here at GIBTK, to see transforming lives with a servant heart. We cannot help someone without a servant heart. I had learned at GIBTK about doing whatever it takes to serve people. I felt deeply about this because I was served by the leaders who kept adding fuel to me to fulfill the vision, and were encouraging me to serve and build up other people.

   Often, people don't pay much attention to the little children who will change the nations and change the world. Here, we do things differently! We serve the children we help because we believe this next generation will transform this nation, this world. It is said that I was so blessed and lucky to be in charge of serving the children directly when I first worked at GIBTK. That was such a special time when I could experience their disadvantaged circumstances and learn how to give love, care and hope to them. Words will never be enough to express my love for this Job. It is so touching and special to me, to be a bridge of giving and receiving love and care to the children. It is exactly what we do, whatever it takes, to transform children's lives. Girls and boys, I can't wait until the day when I see your bright futures. It's so rewarding.

    "Love your neighbor as yourself" was something I experienced from the Emotional Health Program. This program again fulfilled my heart because this helped me and people around me to be healthy. Yes, we will not be able to help someone if we don't really love and care for them from our heart. I challenged myself when I started this position, that I would be okay with this new program? I was worried about this program so much because this was very new knowledge and we needed to be very careful in the way we approach people. It was hard for me at the beginning time, but then I just worked it out with a real love to those I shared with.

    I realized that this was more than a job to me.  This was a special time we spent with house mothers, kids or staff to encourage and inspire them to be healthy in life. In recent time, I was interviewed by the local newspaper about the way we helped the children. They asked me if I had a chance to spread out Emotional Health knowledge to this city, would I do it. I was so happy to say yes. People heard about this program and many of them would like to be transformed! What an amazing opportunity!

    Another favorite part of my work is serving, sharing and building people up to be great leaders. It is true that I always remind myself to pass on to my teammates what I have learned from Tam, Robert and the leaders here. I desired to build the teammates up so that they can do my job, and so they can even replace my position. With sincere attitude, I am always ready to support and serve people around me. To talk about my teammates, I would need a long story with pride to write about them.

   Each of them has gifts and talents and I felt so blessed and happy to be a part of their job. Thank you is the word that I want to give them from my heart. I would like to thank them for what they have done for the children and for this nation. There will not be any suitable rewards for them because they are the rewards in this life. My job cannot be done without their kind hearts. They are wonderful to me and they are the ones who continue giving hope to the next generation.
    I added the picture of them teaching emotional health for the community classes. We expanded the emotional health program into the community so that this great knowledge can be spread to many more people. Seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop - a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. God, please give me this kind of job when I go to the heaven...
With deep thanks and appreciation to my leaders, GIBTK's team for being a part of my beautiful life!
Lanh.
If so lead please write to me words of encouragement for Lanh. I will forward them.
Also quick reminder summer trip mid July. Contact me if interested.

Sincerely,
